Stanisław Krzyżanowski

Stanisław Krzyżanowski (5th May 1865 – 17th January 1917) was a Polish physician. He was among the earliest members of the Polish Socialist Party (PSP). He was born in Otwock, Poland.
Krzyżanowski, as a doctor, mostly treated poor Jewish people.〔("Irena Sendler" ), The International Raoul Wallenberg Foundation〕 During an outbreak of typhus in 1917 among his Jewish patients, Krzyżanowski eventually contracted the disease and subsequently died from its complications.〔(Facts ) at Irena Sendler Organization〕 His wife's name was Janina.
Krzyżanowski's life and politics had a 〔(Irena Sendler ) at Jewish Virtual Library〕 profound impact on his daughter Irena Sendler. At great personal risk, she was instrumental in rescuing over 2,500 Jewish babies and children from the Warsaw Ghetto in 1942 during the Nazi occupation of Poland.〔Tomaszewski, Irene; Werblowski, Tecia. (''Zegota: The Council to Aid Jews in Occupied Poland 1942-1945'' ), Price-Patterson, 1999. ISBN 1-896881-15-7〕
